About the Precious Ivies

The Chi Upsilon Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated^® has three mentoring groups for young ladies in grades 3 through 12.

The goal of each mentoring group is to encourage high scholastic achievement and involvement in the community, assist in the maturation of the young ladies with regards to moral standards, promote unity and friendship, and influence leadership abilities.

Respective to each age group, participants will engage in workshops and activities that focus on various topics, including but not limited to, team building, leadership, integrity, etiquette, self-esteem, education, friendship, & FUN!

What We Do...

AKAdemics

Through college tours and workshops, we prioritize scholastics and encourage the young ladies to remain in favorable academic standing to prepare them for their future.

Community Service

The young ladies regularly participate in community service projects and activities.

Life Skills

The young ladies participate in workshops that touch on various topics necessary to navigate through life, such as etiquette, anti-bulling, self-defense, financial stability, entrepreneurship, etc.

Fellowship

Through participation in teen summits, group bonding activities, and age-appropriate social and community events, we encourage fellowship among the young ladies and their peers.

Extra

The young ladies participate in workshops that touch on various topics necessary to navigate through life, such as etiquette, anti-bulling, self-defense, financial stability, entrepreneurship, etc.
